The Virtual Observatory (VO) become one of the main set of tools in the modern, data-driven astronomy. It provides a unified framework of astronomical software and allows a user to have an easy access to different databases.

Fulfilling the request of many participants of the Cosmology School (http://cosmoschool2018.oa.uj.edu.pl), we organize an autumn workshop dedicated to the VO. This workshop is intended for undergraduate, MSc and PhD students, as well as young postdoctoral researchers.

The VO Workshop will take place in the National Centre for Nuclear Research in Warsaw, from 15th to 18th of October 2018. The main lecturer is Hendrik Heinl from Astronomical Calculation Institute (Heidelberg University).

First two days of the workshop will be focused on the introduction into the VO tools. Next two days will cover more advanced VO topics. Participants should bring their own laptops.

No fee is required.

During the lunch break attendees can visit one of the many restaurants located near the institute.

Number of places is limited - please register as early as possible. The registration deadline is 10th of October.
