Travel to Wrocław
Wrocław is one of the largest academic and cultural centers in Poland and is easily accessible from all parts of the country.
By plane
Participants traveling from more distant regions of Poland may choose to fly to Wrocław Nicolaus Copernicus Airport (WRO). The airport offers regular domestic connections, particularly with Warsaw, as well as numerous international flights. From the airport, the city center can be reached in approximately 30–40 minutes by taxi or by public transport (bus and tram connections).
By train
For most participants, rail travel is likely to be the most convenient option. Wrocław Główny is one of Poland's major railway hubs, with frequent direct connections from Warsaw, Kraków, Katowice, Poznań, Gdańsk, Szczecin, Łódź, and many other cities. High-speed and InterCity (PKP Intercity) services provide comfortable travel, and the conference venue can be reached from the main railway station in approximately 15–20 minutes by tram or taxi.
By car
Wrocław is well connected to the national motorway network via the A4 motorway, the S5 and S8 expressways, making travel by car straightforward from most regions of Poland. The University of Wrocław Library is located close to the city center. As parking availability in the immediate vicinity of the venue is limited, participants arriving by car are encouraged to use nearby public parking facilities or their hotel parking and travel to the venue by public transportation or on foot whenever possible.
Accommodation
A wide range of accommodation is available within walking distance or a short tram ride from the conference venue. Participants are encouraged to book their accommodation well in advance. In addition to hotels and hostels, numerous apartments are available through popular booking platforms, particularly in the city center and around Grunwaldzki Square.
Lunch options
The conference lunch break offers participants many dining opportunities
within a few minutes' walk of the University Library.
Nearby visitors will find:
- university cafeterias offering inexpensive daily lunch menus,
- cafés serving sandwiches, salads, soups, and light meals,
- Polish and international restaurants located around Plac Grunwaldzki, Ostrów Tumski, and the city center,
- the food court at Pasaż Grunwaldzki, approximately a 10-minute walk from the venue, featuring a wide selection of Polish, Italian, Asian, vegetarian, and fast-food options.
Several restaurants and cafés are also located along the Odra riverside and around the nearby Botanical Garden, providing pleasant settings for informal discussions during the lunch break. Vegetarian and vegan options are widely available throughout the area.
