Description

Soft skills are an important part of a scientist's skill set. You do great science but what use is it if you can't communicate it to others, or even get it done in a timely fashion before that guy scoops you? In this three day workshop, we will build your soft skill set!

Our external workshop leader, Justyna Małkuch-Świtalska, will lead us through an interactive course of lectures. These will cover: time management – allowing you to effectively plan your PhD; paper writing – how to effectively communicate your results to other scientists through journals; among other topics.

We will spend our time in the picturesque Reymontówka, nestled in the idyllic Polish countryside, 70 km east of Warsaw. Lectures during the day means plenty of time for socialising during the evenings and night. The free meals, including a free BBQ, leave time to enjoy wondering the local environment or play games with colleagues and friends.

If three days outside the hustle and bustle of Warsaw does not sell you yet, the course, accommodation, travel and food are free. Plus, you won’t need to attend your normal courses and no-one will bat an eye. So register now!

... or sometime before 29.09.2024. Number of places is limited.

See you there!
