Description
Strong gravitational lensing is one of the basic predictions of General Relativity. By now it has become a mature research field and brought many important results in extrgalactic astronomy and cosmology. However, the potential in this field is much bigger and not sufficiently explored yet. I will review some yet unexplored topics in which strong lensing systems discovered by the LSST may bring a breakthrough, in particular focusing on the experience of LSST Poland team.
