      Many shades of decoherence 1h

Decoherence is believed to be a process responsible for killing quantum effects. This stops us from observing half-lived, half-dead Schrödinger-cats and other quantum phenomena in the macroscopic world. On the practical side, decoherence is the main reason why quantum computers are still very limited.
I will discuss the decoherence process and introduce some basic formalisms.
