Description
We explore the phenomena first described by Choptuik
of universality and scaling in the collapse of minimally
coupled spherically symmetric scalar fields with the
effective semiclassical equations of loop quantum gravity.
Contrary to expectations and some previous analyses,
we find universality and scaling like those seen in classical
general relativity.
